Welcome to the Country Cabin in the Woods. Surrounded by 160 acres of woodland, and a step away from Crown land with its breathtaking and expansive wilderness.

Imagine relaxing by the toasty fire on a chilly day. Or putting your feet up and listening to the sounds of "nothingness" as you catch a warm breeze on the front deck overlooking the flower garden. Curl up with a blanket, read a book, listen to some music, watch the sky on those clear, starry nights. This vacation, experience whatever your personal definition of "tranquility" is.

In the Cabin you will find the kitchen fully equipped. Just bring your favorite foods. The bathroom includes sink, toilet and large shower, with linens and toiletries provided. The living room has 2 small sofas, a TV with DVD player, a selection of movies, board games and cards for your entertainment. The wood stove, with split wood and kindling, provides comfort and heat on those cold days. Two bedrooms, one on the main floor and one in the upper loft, each have cozy queen size beds, linens, blankets and pillows.

Enjoy the flower garden, pond, gazebo and firepit. For all your grilling, your will find a BBQ on the deck. Guests rent the entire cabin and do not share with anybody else.

Explore the West Country all year round with close proximity to hiking, lakes and rivers. Quadding and snowmobiling in the backcountry as well as seasonal hunting and fishing.

Local amenities can be found in the Village of Caroline which is located 8 km east offering a grocery store, restaurants, coffee shop, gas station, gift stores and the Caroline Museum, as well as other businesses. The summer months offer a local Farmers' Market each Friday. Further amenities and shopping can be found in Rocky Mountain House, Spruceview and Sundre.

We are in close proximity to the Clearwater, Raven, Tay and James Rivers. Burnstick, Beaver, Birch, Cow, Swan, Tay, Phyllis, Alford Lakes are also a short drive. The Cabin is well-suited for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, or a weekend retreat.
